Palwal(District of Haryana)

·         Palwal is a city and a municipal council and is 21st district of Haryana .
 
·         It is situated at a distance of  around 60 km from Delhi on the NH-2(Delhi-Mathura highway). The latitude and longitude of  town is 28° 40' N and  76° 59' E respectively .
 
·         On 15 August 1979, Gurgaon  District was further divided to form a new Faridabad District, and Palwal became a part of it  .On 15 August 2008, Palwal became the administrative headquarters of the newly formed Palwal district, 21st district of Haryana. On 15th August,2008, on the occasion of 61st Independence Day of India, the district was formally inaugurated by the Chief Minister of the state, Sh. Bhupender Singh Hooda.

·         A  100  ft  flag was  hosted  in  Palwal  by  Mr. .Naveen  Jindal (MP) on 26 January 2011 .

·         It is a Haryana Legislative Assembly constituency segment, within the Faridabad Lok Sabha constituency.
